The 14,400ha Borambil Station, near Condobolin, NSW, has reportedly sold for an undisclosed price to a local farming family.
The Weekly Times reported: “It is understood the Elias family, a local farming family based near Condobolin, has acquired the property, adding Borambil Station to its existing Central West farming interests.”
Borambil Station’s vendor Paraway Pastoral Company is the manager of a portfolio of pastoral and cropping assets owned by Macquarie Asset Management.
When Borambil Station was listed for sale last May it was expected to fetch about $60 million.
It has primarily been used for Merino sheep and lamb production, as well as dryland and irrigated cropping.

The vendors of ‘Mount Lonsdale’, which fetched $20m at auction last week, have more than doubled their purchase price in just four years.
The 8147ha freehold property, located in the tightly held, Maranoa region in Queensland, sits 15km north of Mungallala, 60km to Mitchell and 150km from Roma.
The property sold to the Ziesemer and Moore families of Trifecta Charbrays, Taroom, for $2455/ha according to Farmonline.
‘Mount Lonsdale’ was purchased by Peter and Shari Knudsen for $8.5m in 2020 after 73 years of ownership under the Douglas family.
‘Mount Lonsdale’ is said to have a carrying capacity of 1400-1500 adult cattle equivalents (2020).
In the tenure of Peter and Shari Knudsen commencing in March 2020, significant land management initiatives have been undertaken.
1,882ha has been blade ploughed, 720ha have been treated with 5,500kg of Grassland pellets, and 324ha have been stick raked, with an additional 1740ha pulled in 2023-24.
The property features diverse soils, including Soft Bottle Tree, Belah, and Brigalow scrub soils, interspersed with areas of red, sandy, loamy soils that support fast-growing pastures, offering year-round grazing options for livestock, with pastures comprising Buffel, Curly Mitchell, Bluegrass, native grasses, medics, and salines, depending on the season.

The modern cattle yards, built 10 years ago, include a large undercover area, cemented air-operated race and crush, Morrissey calf race, cradle, and five-way draft, with water troughs and sprays in every yard, plus a double-decker loading ramp for ease of access.

More than 2099ha of prime New England sheep and cattle country near Guyra, NSW, has hit the market.
There is no price guide for ‘Spilsbury Family Farms’, a four-property aggregation, in the Wandsworth district, because it is being sold through a process of expressions of interest.
It is for sale either on a walk-in walk-out basis, including livestock, plant and machinery, or bare. There is also an option to keep the management team in place. Alternatively, the property can be purchased as individual holdings.
The aggregation was established in 1975 by Elders agent, the late Frank Spilsbury.
