Written by Sponsored Content | Apr 30, 2024 6:05:36 AM

LambEx is gearing up for its comeback in Adelaide this August, after a six-year hiatus.

The biggest sheep, lamb and wool forum in the world, LambEx, is the only event in the sheep industry calendar that incorporates producers and representatives from the entire sheep, lamb and wool production supply chain.

The whole-of-industry forum brings everyone together to inspire, innovate and advocate and AuctionsPlus is onboard as a Premium Digital Media Partner.

LambEx Chair and South Australian lamb producer, Jason Schulz, challenged the industry to get along and be part of the conversation in setting the agenda and issues of most importance to the industry.

“Regardless where you sit on the production spectrum … a lamb or wool producer, a processor, scientist, industry body, butcher or exporter, LambEx is the place to congregate, discuss, debate and explore the future evolution and potential of Australia’s sheep industry,” he said.

“I encourage anyone involved in the Australian sheep, lamb or wool industry to get along to LambEx 2024, expose yourself to the broader picture and be part of whole-of-industry discussion.”

The program was recently announced and will cover hot topics such as antibiotic-free nutrition for optimum production, technological advances in lamb stunning, farm sustainability and much more, over three days, highlighting the latest in tech, innovation, and progressive thinking for the sector.

Speakers have also been announced and will include AuctionsPlus' APlus News Head of Content Jackson Hewett, Mark Wootton from Jigsaw Farms and Tom Bull from LambPro. Speakers and attendees will come from around Australia and the world for the event.

“We have big ambitions for LambEx in 2024. We are bringing lamb to the heart of the city to showcase our great industry and also put the spotlight on our premium sheep and lamb products to a broader consumer base,” Mr Schulz said.

He likened LambEx to a “festival of sheep and lamb" where the industry unites as one to celebrate its success and seeks to pave the future roadmap of the industry.

“There is a lot going on globally at present and we are at a pivotal point in terms of ongoing sustainability with impacts in regard to carbon, on-farm efficiencies, renewable energies and technology driven change, and now is the optimal time to upskill and become business ready to meet the challenges presented and gain further market share,” he said.

“We are super excited to bring the industry back together in August 2024 to address the future challenges and collectively find solutions to what the market may present,” he said.

Designed by members of the industry for the industry, Mr Schulz said LambEx 2024 would bring tremendous value and deliver on trend topical thinking and issues, leading innovation and tech, the latest in science and research, and an extensive trade exhibition with the boldest and best products and services on offer.

LambEx was established in 2010, with the event rotated around major sheep producing states, with 2014 being the last time it was staged in Adelaide and the last event held in 2018 in Western Australia.

LambEx 2024 will be held at the Adelaide Conference Centre from August 7-9.
