Listing an assessment with AuctionsPlus brings wide reaching national exposure - an added benefit of selling online through the platform. Whether it’s through the weekly commercial sales, or specialized sales, the additional user information collected by AuctionsPlus provides excellent feedback for participants - including individual assessment views, pre-auction catalogue views and the number of user logins at auction.
Since January 2020, the average weekly commercial sheep and cattle sale catalogues received 19,779 views and 25,580 views, respectively.
A valuable feature of the AuctionsPlus dashboard which agents and vendors have access to, but is still underutilized, is the ability to track individual assessment views and the number of “favorites” an individual assessment received. These two points of data allow agents to determine interest in their listings either prior, during, or after the auction. Since this features implementation in January 2020, cattle assessments receive on average 148 views via the multiple marketing points, while sheep views average 156. The “favorites” feature enables buyers to narrow down the lots they are interested in throughout the catalogue, allowing for easier tracking and filtering on sale day. The feature allows users to view their preferred lots during the auction, which is particularly beneficial in larger sales, when several lots of interest may be spread across the catalogue.
Taking a closer look at the user connections since 2020, the number of registered bidders connecting into the auction sits at 24% of all connections. This highlights the versatility of the weekly auctions in exposing listings to a wider audience than just registered bidders and buyers. The first quarter of 2022 has seen an average of 267 bidders logging into cattle auctions (22% of all users), while sheep sit at 187 bidders (21% of all users).
