More than 20 stud cattle sales were interfaced through AuctionsPlus this week, drawing strong national engagement from seedstock buyers and vendors. Across the week ending Friday, September 26, sales connected participants from all corners of the country. Here are some of this week's highlights:
To Yuleba, Queensland, where the Moongool Charolais & Simbrah 32nd Annual On Property Bull Sale presented a quality draft of Charolais and Simbrah bulls, which were met with enthusiastic demand, delivering a full clearance of all 119 lots.
The sale averaged $19,042 across both breeds, with the Charolais section leading the way. All 81 Charolais bulls sold to average $20,017, with Lot 3 achieving the top price of $100,000.

The Simbrah draft also saw robust demand, with all 38 bulls selling to average $15,478 and topping at $26,000 for Lot 100.

AuctionsPlus action was electric during this sale. In total, 184 online bids were placed, with buyers competing on 57% of the catalogue. There were 14 active bidders logged throughout the sale, with AuctionsPlus' successful bidders representing 22% of the overall gross. Of the 119 bulls offered, 28 were sold online, including two topping at $34,000 each.
The result highlighted the growing interest in Simbrah genetics alongside the established reputation of Moongool’s Charolais program.
The 66th annual Yarrawonga Santa Gertrudis Sale held in Wallumbilla, Queensland, proved a resounding success for the stud, with an increase clearance, average price and the top-priced lot.
The sale closed with full clearance from 152 bulls offered. The sale averaged $13,974, an improvement on last year’s $12,723 average.
The sale opened with excitement as Lot 1, Yarrawonga Pablo V46, fetched the top price of the day at $90,000.

Sired by Waco Massi M384 and out of Yarrawonga Jazz Q365, the 29-month-old tipped the scales at 1,122kg and recorded an EMA of 154 square centimetres.
He was purchased in partnership by Scott and Wendy Ferguson of Glen Oaks stud, Nobby, and Luke and Carly Baker of Annabranch Santa stud, Wandoan.
The opening lot had been on the radar of buyers since its impressive showing at the Royal Queensland Show, and its performance set the tone for the remainder of the sale.
Online bidders were active across 75 of the lots offered. However, one was successful and secured home eight lots.
Bongongo Angus continued its strong momentum in the spring selling season, achieving a full clearance in its 2025 sale.
Buyers competed actively both on-site and online, with eight bulls sold through AuctionsPlus and 117 online bids placed throughout the day.
The stud recorded a full clearance, with 108 bulls sold to average $10,861, with a top price of $19,000 for Bongongo V190 (lot 52).
Bongongo V190 sold to Paul Graham, Bongongo Adjungbilly, weighing 570kg, with an intramuscular fat (IMF) in the top 17 per cent of the breed at +3.9 estimated breeding value (EBV).
