Prior to his retirement, Richard was the major shareholder of Sanger Australia, one of Australia’s largest meat exporters.
He is most well-known for convincing fast food giant McDonald’s to include imported Australian beef in their US restaurants. McDonald’s has since become Australia’s single largest beef customer.
Since retiring Richard has served on several boards but his main passion is developing and mentoring young people coming through the industry.
