Greenwood Designs (GD) started out as a way for me to pursue a creative outlet outside of my job in finance. I would make and sell jewellery and keyrings to family and friends in my home- town of Molong. Somehow word spread and in 2014 I decided to take the plunge, quit my day job and focus on building the Greenwood Designs.
Working from my dining room table, my guiding philosophy was to create a collection of bright, fun and functional accessories for women looking for stylish, yet affordable statement pieces. Fast forward six years and that same philosophy still underpins everything I design at Greenwood Designs. We want our customers to look and feel fabulous and not break the bank doing it!
While GD has moved on from my dining room table (much to the delight of my family), our collections still feature signature pieces from the early days but have expanded to include a wide-range of clutches, necklaces, keyrings, scarves and earrings! From our workshop in Molong, GD’s small team of six women package and deliver our products to more than 70 stockists and many more retail customers worldwide!
I still pinch myself knowing that I get to go to work every day doing something I love and with the most wonderful group of women. I am also grateful to my loyal customers, many I have known for years, who have supported Greenwood Designs from day one!
By participating in the recent Buy from the Bush campaign, I have been able to grow and expand the business even further. We gained a whole new audience for the Greenwood Designs brand which has been so exciting for our team! I love that I am a part of this growing phenomenon of bush-based businesses. May it long continue!
