After almost 20 years Roma’s “Bellevue Feedlot” has sold. Spanning 548 hectares, Bellevue is situated 28km south-west of Roma in the Mount Abundance area. Roma is considered Australia’s largest cattle selling centre. The property was passed in at auction in June for $5.5 million but eventually sold for $6 million at the end of July.
The Bellevue Feedlot specialises in custom feeding 70 and 100 day grain fed cattle, along with stud bull preparation. It has accreditation to feed both EU and non-EU cattle. The accredited feedlot has been built to 1580 standard cattle units with Development Approval to 5,000 SCU.
The property was sold with a 112 megalitre intensive artesian water licence.
“Bellevue” also has a successful hay producing business attached to operations. There’s modern air operated cattle yards with Breckon feedlot crush, a three bedroom homestead with established lawns and gardens and a synthetic tennis court.
Selling agent Darrel Langton from Nutrien Harcourts Roma would not comment on the sale. However the listing ad stated, “"Bellevue" offers a unique opportunity to secure the future of your cattle operation as the ultimate finishing operation in all seasons.”
