#Harvest2020 - Check out some of the best harvest shots so far this year

Written by #ThankAFarmerForYourNextMeal | Nov 17, 2020 3:06:07 AM

With the 2020 harvest well and truly underway it is great to see the headers gradually moving south with many farmers across the country reaping the benefits of what has been an interesting year to say the least.

Earlier this week I read an article which stated that about ‘90 grams of barley goes into a schooner of beer’ and that a header can strip approximately ‘30 tonnes per hour’. If someone can work out the math behind how many beers per hour that equates to, we will be sure to hook them up with a little gift voucher to our online store for their troubles (first correct answer we receive via Instagram direct message).

Fingers crossed for some dry weather and plenty of sunshine to help all those in our agricultural supply chain get this year’s crop off! Below you’ll find some cracking shots from our followers of #Harvest2020 so far.

AuctionsPlus x Thank A Farmer

Together we have one goal – to showcase where Australian food and fibre comes from, who makes it and how it’s made. The Thank A Farmer For Your Next Meal brand aims to promote the Australian agricultural industry and its primary producers to a wider audience in order to close the continually widening gap between producer and consumer, city and bush.

Have you got a picture that you think demonstrates this or would go well on our page?
