Nampara bull commands top price in online sales this week

This past week’s stud offerings yielded strong results across a range of breeds nationwide. AuctionsPlus interfaced 24 stud sales, proving the autumn stud selling season is well under away. Below are some highlights from over the past week:

Angus action

The Nampara Pastoral Co Bull Sale, held out of Lucindale, South Australia, recorded the top priced bull interfaced through AuctionsPlus this week. The sale achieved 80% clearance selling 81 of 101 bulls on offer. The top-priced bull, Nampara Kingdom U214 (Lot 2), son to Millah Murrah Kingdom K35 sold for $35,000 and was described as “impressive from every angle”.

The sale revealed strong online offerings, with 13 lots sold online and an average online price of $10,231. The online top price bull, Nampara U199 (lot 38) sold for $19,000 and was described as “solid all-round package”.

The Boonaroo Angus Bull Sale was a great success, reaching 99% clearance. With strong offerings including sons of Murdeduke Quarterback Q011 PV, Rennylea L519 and Boonaroo Genius Q63 SV. The sale concluded with an average of $11,035 and the top-priced bull, Boonaroo Quantify U34 (lot 14) selling for $20,000.

Hearty Herefords

Yavenvale Poll Herefords 26th Annual Bull Sale brought some impressive genetics to the table including sons of KCF Bennett Resolve (IMP USA) (PP) and Okawa Holyfield 220058 (IMP NZ) (PP). Yavenvale Under The Radar U556 (Lot 57), sold for the top price of $32,000, the bull was described as “deep bodied, packing muscle into a moderate frame”. The sale reached an average of $8,702 and 72% clearance.

Moreover, the online action was buzzing, seeing the top priced bull, Yavenvale Upbeat U466 (AI) (PP) (lot 99) sold for $24,000. Online buyers secured 11 lots, for an online average of $13,182. By the conclusion of the sale, the catalogue amassed more than 2,600 views. 

Western Australian multi-breed success

Over to Williams, Western Australia, where the Willandra Bull Sale fetched the top price of $17,000 for a Simmental bull, Willandra Unmatched (PP), lot 3. Close behind was Willandra Uri (PP) (TW) (lot 24) purchased for $16,000 by an online bidder.

Additionally, the multibreed sale attracted success with the Red Angus bull, Willandra Udele (lot 40) selling for $16,000, a close second to the top price. The sale reached a clearance of 75%.

In the breakdown, Red Angus bulls sold to a top price of $16,000, for an average of $7,882. Angus bulls sold to a top price of $7000, for an average price of  $5,556. Meanwhile, the Simmental bulls were knocked down for a top price of $17,000 for an average of $7,643.
