AuctionsPlus rolled out a string of new products in FY2026 that reflect where the livestock industry is heading - more data, more flexibility, and more tools in the hands of producers and agents. Here are five that stood out.
The refreshed mobile app improved the buying and selling experience for users on the go, reflecting the reality that a large share of AuctionsPlus activity now happens on a phone. Faster, cleaner, and more intuitive, it removes friction in the moments that matter most.
AuctionsPlus Product Manager Steven Jaffrey said the app was completely rebuilt following extensive design consultation with livestock producers, machinery sellers, agents, and buyers of all scales. "Working in Australian agriculture is non-stop. The mobile app lets you browse, list, and bid anywhere," he said. "Two standout features are: one-tap access to catalogues, sales, and your dashboard - with no password to remember - and real-time notifications on lot status, bids, and auction updates straight to your phone."
AuctionsPlus broke new ground by integrating integrating genetics data directly onto the platform this year, starting with Sheep Genetics before expanding to Angus Genetics and Wagyu Genetics genetics ahead of the financial year close. AuctionsPlus' growing suite of genetic integrations brings together genetic data with practical, easy-to-use tools, including filtering, browsing, and alerts via the app and website, that benefit the whole industry.
Business Development Manager Oliver Hoare said it was this benefit to both buyers and vendors that made it his highlight of the year. "Studs selling livestock on AuctionsPlus make big investments into their genetics and these integrations give them a better ability to show them off to those clients specifically seeking out what they offer," Mr Hoare said. "We're also proud to have provided these integrations which improve the experience for buyers, allowing them to easily filter and browse for lots that specifically meet the needs on their farms, saving them time and ensuring they have access to exactly what they need."
Forward+ connects vendors, agents and processors through a simplified forward‑selling model and delivers improved supply certainty and greater control over the trading process all within a trusted, integrity‑driven offerboard. For an industry that's historically relied on day-of price discovery, it's a meaningful shift toward longer-term commercial thinking.
Business Development Manager Zoë Macfarlan is incredibly proud of Forward+. "For the first time, producers and agents have a direct line to Australia's processing network through a competitive offerboard providing real-time price discovery and the ability to plan ahead with confidence," Ms Macfarlan said. "We built the platform with processors at the table from day one, and their early adoption and engagement is already speaking for itself."
AuctionsPlus Bloodlines is an industry first integration that allows commercial sellers to connect with their stud at scale. Studs can be notified with near time notifications when their bloodline is listed in a commercial assessment and have the ability to verify the bloodlines within the listing.
AuctionsPlus Business Development Manager Hugh Courts said the integration also enabled studs and commercial vendors to promote the listing to their network and give buyers confidence in what they are purchasing. "It's my favourite tool on A+ as it gives value to every party involved in the transaction, the stud, the seller, the buyer and the agent," Mr Courts said.
The machinery agent accreditation program established a formal standard for agents operating in the AuctionsPlus machinery space, giving buyers greater confidence in who they're dealing with and lifting the credibility of online machinery trading overall. Business Development Manager Matt Cotton, who oversees the platform's machinery sales, said the machinery agent accreditation had been an important development this year. "We have focused on improving the quality of listings that get entered on the platform," Mr Cotton said. "The improved description quality has brought greater transparency to machinery listings, creating a more trusted and professional experience for buyers and sellers alike."
