AuctionsPlus End of Year Summary - 2022

The 2022 calendar year saw AuctionsPlus again deliver record sale results, with gross merchandise sales reaching $3.067 billion – up 2% year-on-year.

Commercial cattle listings were the largest on record with 829,022 head – a 2% rise from 2021. Year-on-year increases were not just limited to sales however, with total unique website users rising by 18%, to sit at 2.2 million.

Other key highlights from the year include:

  • Working dog sales registered a 25% year-on-year rise - the largest increase in sales interfaced with AuctionsPlus. 

  • Saleyard cattle auctions rose 13% on 2021, with a total of 174 sales. Increased monthly feature sales lifted online participation at saleyard auctions, as buyers became more familiar with the system. 

  • The 497 machinery and clearing sales held across the year on AuctionsPlus accounted for one-third of all auctions. 

  • Property sales registered a 13% lift in 2022, with a total of 90 auctions held on AuctionsPlus. 

  • Stud goat sales increased by 13% from 2021, with 17 interfaced stud sales held across the year.
