AuctionsPlus Goondiwindi Clearing Sale surpasses $5 million dollar markThis week results from a banner AuctionsPlus clearing sale held at Goondiwindi delivered excellent results for the vendor and is another clear indication of the once-in-a-generation confidence flowing through the Australian agricultural sector. The unreserved clearing sale for South Callandoon, 20km west of Goondiwindi, held as an online only auction on AuctionsPlus and facilitated by Andrew Jakins at Nutrien Ag Solutions Goondiwindi, grossed $5.154 million, with over 3,252 user logging into the sale.

From the sale high of $515,000 for a John Deere S680 header (see above), through to the $20 assorted rubber tractor tracks, the sale generated amazing interest, assisted by the recent transaction of the property and multi-day length of the Auction. Given the pre-sale enquiries generated by the sale catalogue, the auction was held across three days commencing at 9am Monday 6th September, with the final timer starting at 12pm Wednesday 8th September.

The extended AuctionPlus online sale over the three days attracted 32,800 bids, achieved a 96% clearance rate, with 236 successful bidders across the sale. Chief Economist for AuctionsPlus, Tim McRae, stated that the interest and results for the clearing sale was “a fantastic result for the vendors and was a further illustration of the unbridled confidence flowing through the veins of Australian agriculture”.

The catalogue had over 40,000 views across the two sales with 3,252 users entering the auction, with successful purchases hailing from Queensland, New South Wales, and Victoria.

In the coming weeks, AuctionsPlus has several banner clearing sales scheduled which you can access below.
