The AuctionsPlus multi-vendor clearing sale has undergone name and frequency changes since its establishment as a monthly auction in early 2018 and is currently run on a fortnightly basis - as the increasing number of lots has required a more frequent sale. The sale has a vast range of items on offer, from tractors and farm machinery, to vintage carts and golf clubs. Concerns regarding delivery lags, inflation and input costs has significantly increased the demand for second-hand equipment, leading to increased interest and activity in the fortnightly sale.

The first half of 2022 has seen continued supply constraints on brand new farm machinery, resulting in an increased popularity of second-hand items. This in-turn has attracted a growth in lots offered in each sale, with higher average prices in 2022. The number of lots offered in each of the nine multi-vendor clearing sales held on the platform so far in 2022 has been steadily growing, averaging 116 lots per sale this year - 34% above last year’s average. With the growth in lots has been a rise in catalogue views, increasing 4% on last year, to average 17,089 views so far in 2022.

Reviewing sale offerings to date, a wide selection of items have driven the fortnightly sale to average $222,500, with the highest grossing total for the year sitting at $562,000. The top selling item so far in 2022 was for a John Deere 9530 4WD tractor selling for $220,000 - $32,000 above reserve. Workshop equipment items are the most frequently offered lots in the sale, followed by livestock feeders, tractors and bailing equipment.
