Buyers were met with a unique opportunity to purchase genetics from the core of the Coonamble herd during yesterdays Coonamble Angus Female Reduction Sale.
Held on property in Bremer Bay, WA, and interfaced online with AuctionsPlus, the sale was met with robust competition. Grossing over 1.6 million, the stud offering of 94 PTIC Females sold to a 100% clearance, averaging $15,521/head - while the 13 head commercial offering also cleared 100%, averaging $4,549/head.
With over 3,000 catalogue views, online activity saw 250 users logging in from across Australia. With 13 active online bidders placing bids on 41% of the offering, 10 lots sold to online buyers - accounting for 12% of total auction takings. Successful online buyers came from far and wide, with buyers from SA, NSW, Queensland and locally in WA.
The auction commenced in a flurry of activity and competition, averaging $39,727/head for the first 11 lots offered. The top price for the sale went to Lot 8 – “Coonamble L283” selling for $62,000. The seven-year-four-month-old PTIC cow is sired by V A R RESERVE 1111 X COONAMBLE H1, joined to WDCR537 due early April.
