The AuctionsPlus wool offer board steadied in November, with a total of 1,869 bales sold for the month – a decrease of 891 bales from October. November ended on a high with the AWEX Eastern Market Indicator closing at 1,343c/kg, with all selling centres recording price increases.
Finer micron wools sold in the highest quantities for the month of November, with 251 bales of 17µ micron, 225 bales of 18µ micron and 342 bales of 19µ micron wool clearing the market. 20 bales of 14µ micron wool were sold in small lots by various brokers, selling for an average of 1,981c/kg greasy. Once again, the top priced lot for the month was four bales of “CRESSBROOK” branded 14µ micron wool offered by Nutrien Ag Solutions – New South Wales, which contained 2.7% vegetable matter, was 90mm in length and sold for 2,705c/kg greasy, or 3,700c/kg dry.
As the Christmas recess draws closer, it is anticipated that the AuctionsPlus offer board will experience a spike in sales as it continues to operate despite the pause in physical sales.
