There was 1,938 goats listed in the AuctionsPlus National Goat Sale this week, with Rangeland bred goats dominating the throughput, with 1,672 head offered. Clearance for the week was 57%, up from 44% last week, with Boer goats in high demand with a 100% clearance rate from the 266 head on offer.

A good offering of breeding bucks was on offer this week, comprising 15 of 21 sale lots. The standout for this week was a lot of 13 9–11-month-old purebred Boer goats, which sold out of Bollon, Western Queensland, for $920 - well ahead of the next highest price of $710/head for seven Red Boer/Boer cross goats from the same region.

Boer buck prices ranged from $400 to $920, averaging $529/head – with a 100% clearance for the 126 head offered for the week. A lot of 20 bucks that sold out of Mitchell Qld, for $400/head, will head across the border to Bourke NSW.

There were 52 head of Rangeland Bucks offered for the week, across 7 different lots - however none managed to sell.

Rangeland does registered a 33% clearance rate this week, with one of three lots selling for $120/head. Rangeland wethers and mixed sex goats both had a clearance rate of 100% this week, with the wethers selling to a top of $121/head and the mixed sex goats selling to a top of $81/head. The lot of 600 Rangeland does that sold will be shipped off from Broken Hill to Longreach.
