Tom Madden from TB White & Sons, Delacombe, Victoria, has been named as AuctionsPlus’ Gary Dick Award – Highest Throughput (FY24 sheep) for 2024. 

The Gary Dick Awards are presented to the assessors who achieve the highest clearance rate (the highest percentage of successful sales versus lots listed) on AuctionsPlus during the past financial year. 

Mr Madden has demonstrated a high level of engagement with the platform, he was the 6th highest lister of sheep (22,990) with the best clearance rate (93.2% in head, 91.9% in lots).

Highly regarded within the industry, Mr Madden has also helped to deliver assessor courses for the RMA network with a specialty in sheep.

Mr Madden has continually delivered exemplary assessment quality and continues to upholds the AuctionsPlus User Agreement, exemplifying his commitment to his clients and the AuctionsPlus platform. 

Notably, 2024 marks the inaugural year of the Gary Dick Awards, which are presented in honor of former AuctionsPlus CEO, Gary Dick.

With a true passion for the agency game, Mr Dick worked at AuctionsPlus from 1987 to 2014, where he played a key role in transforming the business into the national agricultural marketplace it is known as today.

Any positive industry recognition is always warmly received. We put a lot of time and effort into marketing all forms of livestock in many different sale formats, any recognition hopefully means we are doing or have done a good job.

Honesty is the key with everything - and nothing truer than with AuctionsPlus. The way the world is these days - you can’t leave anything to chance. If you don’t know the answer, find it out. And if there’s an issue - tackle it head on before it becomes a bigger issue.
