The spring bull selling season has provided another strong week of standout results, with AuctionsPlus linking 32 cattle studs to buyers across the country and beyond. This week's highlights feature a range of breeds including Santa Gertrudis, Charolais and Angus.
From the top of Queensland to the tip of Tasmania, online bidders generated strong competition, helping to drive impressive results and secure leading genetics across a wide range of seedstock operations.
We bring you some of the standout results from sales interfaced through AuctionsPlus over the week ending Friday, September 19.
To Eidsvold QLD, where the annual Greenup Eidsvold Santa Gertrudis Bull Sale drew strong demand, with 109/122 bulls sold, representing an 89% clearance rate.
The sale grossed $1,461,500, averaging $13,408, an increase of $3,137 on last year's catalogue.
The sale opened on a high note with Greenup Apollo V222 (Lot 81), knocked down for the day’s top price of $120,000 to Andrew Bassingthwaighte, Yarrawonga Cattle Co, Wallumbilla.

This result surpassed last year’s top Santa Gertrudis bull by $5,000, and marked the highest Santa Gertrudis bull price since 2023.
Online activity contributed $155,000 in takings, with an average of $14,091 and a top of $28,000 for Lot 140. There were 331 logins, with 11 bulls sold to online bidders from across QLD and NSW.
The Landfall Angus Spring Sale delivered a complete clearance, with 246 bulls sold from 246 offered. The sale grossed just shy of $3 million at $2,999,000, with bulls averaging $12,191.
Top honours went to Lot 3, Landfall Riverside U227, knocked down for $165,000 to Te Mania Angus.

Online buyer engagement was robust, with 514 online bids, and 49 bulls sold online across 19 successful bidders. The top online result was $20,000 for Landfall Rhynie U1423 (lot 115).
To Moura, Queensland, where the AYR Charolais achieved a 100% clearance of 140 bulls, grossing $1,835,000 for a $13,107 average, up from $10,829 in 2024.
The top price of $32,000 was paid for Lot 8, AYR Emerton’s Ingram, purchased by Chas Nobbs, Nobbs Grazing, Moura. Ingram impressed with a 978kg weight, 154sq cm EMA, 6.4pc IMF and 41cm scrotal measurement.
Online bidders were active, with nine bulls selling to two successful buyers at an average of $12,667 and a top of $18,000 for Lot 135.
