A total of 66,266 commercial sheep and lambs were offered through AuctionsPlus this week, down 24% on last weeks offering. The third consecutive weekly drop in overall listings assisted higher clearance rates at the immediate closure of the auction, hitting 57%. Post-sale negotiations have seen the overall clearance rate increase to 69%, the highest clearance rate across the sheep and lamb sales for the month of March.

Following a large listing last week, the first week of Autumn saw sheep and lamb numbers ease back by 22%, with a total offering of 104,101 head.
