A total of 1,680 machinery lots were listed on AuctionsPlus over the past week, almost doubling (+94%) on the previous period as spring selling activity gathered pace.
Buyer participation also improved slightly, with 366 total buyers (up 3.1%), while bidding remained steady at 10,428 total bids despite a slight softening in active bidder numbers. The bid rate eased to 55%, in line with the higher volume of listings coming through the platform.
Engagement remained strong, highlighting a deep pool of buyer interest. More than 23,000 favourites were added across the platform - up 8.8% - and the number of lots favourited surged 61%, showing buyers are actively shortlisting gear even if not immediately purchasing. Total lot views held above 114,000, underscoring continued appetite for machinery as harvest ramps up.
Among standout results, a Case JX90 with LKS loader and hay forks at Junee, NSW, topped the favourites list and sold for $48,000, while a manure spreader from Corowa, NSW, attracted 17 bidders and sold for $25,600. The highest-priced lot for the week was a New Holland T7 250, which sold for $97,000 at Kooloonong, Victoria.
Overall, the past week’s results point to a confident market adjusting to increased supply. With more machinery coming online and buyers staying highly engaged, demand is expected to remain solid through the next few weeks of the harvest period.
