As the 2025 World Angus Forum drew to a close in Brisbane, international delegates left with more than fond memories of Australian hospitality — they took home valuable perspectives on the common goals and notable differences that define Angus breeding around the world.

Breeders came together from more than 30 countries to explore genetics, climate resilience, market dynamics and production strategies, creating a rare chance to benchmark their approaches against Australia’s.

While shared priorities like fertility, carcase quality and performance data were clear, visitors were quick to point out the contrasts in environment, scale and commercial focus.

They also give us an insight to domestic markets across the world, almost universally expressed concern with government interference, and above all were pleased to be surrounded by like-minded Angus breeders ready to talk and share insights, and do deals.
