The 2025 stud selling season has kicked off on a high note, with strong demand for elite genetics driving impressive clearance rates and record prices across multiple sales. Over the past week, ending Friday, February 21, AuctionsPlus interfaced 11 stud sheep sales, delivering outstanding results nationwide.
The Winrae Dorpers Annual On Farm Sale, held at Warialda, NSW, achieved a full clearance, with buyers active across Queensland, NSW, and Victoria.
The standout result came with Lot 14, NOMUULA 220360, which topped the sale at $7,400. AuctionsPlus facilitated strong online engagement, with nearly 60% of the offering secured through the platform across nine successful bidders.
In total, 38 Dorper rams were sold at an average price of $2,952, with the highest price reaching $6,600, while 11 White Dorper rams averaged $3,000 and peaked at $7,400. The highest-priced ram purchased online was Lot 31, which sold for $6,600.
Western NSW and Queensland buyers were dominant at the 19th Annual Annalara White Dorper Sale, held on-property near Dubbo on Wednesday, February 19.
Lot 5, was purchased online to for the equal top price of $5,000.
During the sale 82 of 83 White Dorper rams changed hands, with a top price of $5,000 achieved four times and an overall average of $2,695. In the Ultra White Dorper offering, 13 of 23 rams sold, reaching a top price of $3,000 and averaging $1,884.
AuctionsPlus recorded strong online interest, with 68 bids placed across 40 lots and 12 rams successfully purchased through the platform.
The Red Hill Australian White Ram Sale at Wongarbon, NSW, also attracted strong bidding competition. A total of 58 out of 69 rams sold, with an average price of $2,672 and a top sale price of $8,000.

The standout lot of the sale was Lot 2, which was described as a high-performing ram within the Australian White breed. Weighing 109 kilograms at just 10 months old, the ram recorded a fat depth score of 9.5 and an eye muscle depth of 47.
Online bidding was highly active throughout the auction, with bids placed on 40 lots. AuctionsPlus facilitated six online purchases, with the highest-priced ram sold online ram purchased for $2,250 twice.
