The National Young Cattle Indicator (NYCI) remained stable this week, lifting by 0.56c to 379.76c/kg liveweight on Friday morning. It has lifted 23.97c on the previous month and is up 58.69 on the same time last year.
The NYCI is a seven-day rolling average of young cattle sold on AuctionsPlus and across all NLRS-reported saleyards.

The biggest contributor to the indicator this week was Queensland Online Sales with 4,992 head for an average price of 391.77c/kg, followed by Roma Store with 4,253 for an average price of 358.64c/kg.
Yearling Steers were the biggest category included, averaging 393.59c/kg, a fall of 3.74c week-on-week.
The Eastern States Young Cattle Indicator (EYCI), a seven-day rolling average of young cattle from 23 saleyards across Queensland, NSW and Victoria, was sitting at 700.12 cents per kilogram dressed on Friday morning, down 6.94 for the week, up 14.73 from a month ago and up 112.88 on last year.
In the sheep market, the Restocker Lamb Indicator was sitting at 883.02 cents per kilogram dressed on Friday morning, down 41.03 week on week. The Heavy Lamb Indicator lifted a further 19.99c/kg to be 1,061.24c/kg on Friday morning after gaining more than 60c last week.
The Merino Lamb Indicator lost last week’s gains to fall by 46.07c to 838.79 cents per kilogram and the Mutton Indicator jumped to 673.75c/kg dressed, an increase of 6.62c week on week.
