AuctionsPlus commercial cattle listings lifted again this week to reach 10,257 head, increasing by 6%. The larger offering was met with less demand than last week, however clearance remained strong at 84%, 8 percentage points less than last week, while value over reserve fell by $16 to average $170.

The offering available on the AuctionsPlus platform has again continued its upward trend, most noticeably in heavier lines of both steers and heifers. These heavier lines have been met with strong processor activity, making up 11.16% of the sold offering. Despite a reduced clearance, all categories experienced price rises except for steers 200kg and under, and SM Heifers.

The positive weather is putting confidence into the market with lighter weight steers and heifers recording significant price rises and very high clearance rates.
Of significant note this week was the number of heavier lines of steers offered with 903 head or 33% of the total offering of steers, being made up made up of 400kg+ lines. It didn't affect competition, with all steers returning better prices than last week.

AuctionsPlus commercial cattle listings were down this week by 6%, with a total offering of 8,111 head. The smaller offering was met with stronger competition, as clearance rose by 5 percentage points to 59% and value over reserve lifted by $23 to average $111.
AuctionsPlus commercial cattle listings lifted to 8,630 head, increasing by 14%. The larger offering was met with reduced competition as clearance fell to 51% and value over reserve fell by $52 to average $88.

AuctionsPlus commercial cattle listings recorded a rise of 20% at 10,513 head this week, with clearance improving on last week at 42%, although still quite subdued.
