A total of 89 lots were listed in AuctionsPlus machinery sales in the week ending Monday, October 13, down 53% on the previous sale, with a clearance rate of 43% as buyer competition eased. Despite fewer lots and a sharp drop in active bidders (down 58%), total bids lifted 13% to 1,404, showing that while participation was lighter, engaged buyers remained active on selected gear.

Across categories, tractors again drew the most attention. A Zetor 16145 Turbo topped the sale at $18,000, offered at Mount Bolton, Victoria. It attracted 137 views and 69 favourites. Lighter gear saw mixed interest, with a self-loading hay trailer at Portarlington, VIC pulling 137 bids to reach $8,200. However, overall engagement softened, with total lot views down 38% and favourites falling 82%.

Activity was concentrated in Victoria, where most of the top-viewed and top-bidding lots originated. Buyers remained selective, favouring well-priced tractors and hay equipment, while older or niche machinery struggled to find traction.

With harvest approaching and supply tightening, demand is expected to steady in the coming weeks as buyers focus on pre-season equipment needs.
