AuctionsPlus machinery activity strengthened further in the week ending Thursday, February 12, with 899 lots offered, up 75% on the previous period. Clearance lifted to 79%, up 62%, showing buyers were prepared to engage despite the larger offering. Overall tone was solid, with consistent competition across well-presented gear.A total of 705 lots sold, an increase of 184% week-on-week, while no-bid lots fell 29% to 155. Passed-in lots eased 19% to 38. Buyer participation surged, with 295 buyers active (+148%) and 2,547 active bidders (+302%). Total bids jumped 526% to 14,434, pushing the bid rate to 83%, up 44%. Engagement followed suit, with 104,000 lot views (+30%) and 24,000 favourites recorded, confirming buyers were watching closely and shortlisting.

Tractors again led performance, particularly late-model John Deere units. Seeding and planting equipment also featured among the stronger results, alongside select earthmoving gear and trucks. Depth of bidding was notable on quality, versatile machinery, while secondary or older items remained more price-sensitive.

New South Wales and Victoria dominated the top end of the market. The standout result was a John Deere 6140M from the ‘Budden’ Clearing Sale at Bylong, NSW, which sold unreserved for $152,000 after 126 bids from 11 bidders, drawing 579 views and 300 favourites. With buyer confidence and platform engagement building, momentum looks set to carry into the coming weeks.
