On the tenth day of Christmas: Wool tables lead as top-performing machinery item

AuctionsPlus machinery auctions continue to deliver strong results in 2024, with several categories achieving standout clearance rates. Among the top-performing items, Wool Tables, Gates, Cement Mixers, Motorbikes, and Poly Pipe.

Wool Tables emerged as the top-performing category, achieving an 80% clearance rate across 82 listed lots. This reflects interest from producers preparing for shearing season and looking to upgrade their equipment, as well as the recent boost in upcycling wool tables into modern home furniture.

Gates also saw high demand, with a clearance rate of 78% from 706 lots. These versatile and essential farm infrastructure items remain a consistent favorite for producers.

Cement Mixers followed closely, achieving a 73% clearance rate across 64 lots, indicating steady demand for small-scale construction and maintenance tasks on farms.

Motorbikes and Poly Pipe, essential items for farm operations, both recorded 73% clearance rates, with 119 and 149 lots listed, respectively.

Other high-performing categories included Air Compressors and Harrows, both clearing 71% of their listed lots, demonstrating consistent demand for tools that enhance productivity and efficiency on farms.
