For the first time in the history of the ALPA NSW Young Auctioneers Competition, all 2026 finalists are AuctionsPlus accredited livestock assessors.
The milestone is a proud moment for AuctionsPlus, reflecting a broader industry recognition of the importance of operating confidently across both online livestock marketplaces and onsite selling opportunities.

Run by the Australian Livestock & Property Agents Association (ALPA), the Young Auctioneers Competition is one of the most prestigious platforms for emerging talent in the industry. Held annually at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, the event brings together the nation's top young agents to compete in a live auction environment.
Competitors are judged across several key criteria, including clarity, diction, delivery, professionalism, and their understanding of livestock value. The winner and runner-up of the NSW final progresses to the national stage against the top agents from Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, with the ultimate prize being the opportunity to represent Australia at the International Livestock Auctioneers Competition at the Calgary Stampede.
The fact that all 10 NSW finalists are AuctionsPlus accredited assessors highlights the platform’s growing influence in developing well-rounded agents.
AuctionsPlus CEO Wyn Snyman congratulated all the finalists this year.
"It is is remarkable to see how deeply this next generation is embedding digital capability into their skillset and a real credit to the calibre of talent coming through the industry", Mr Snyman said.

This year’s cohort demonstrates that the next generation of auctioneers is not only mastering the fundamentals of the rostrum but is also embracing the tools and technology that are redefining livestock selling in Australia.
