For the fourth consecutive week AuctionsPlus cattle listings surged above 20,000 head.
Of the goats sold online during November, 54% were purchased at auction – up from just 9% in October.
The National Lamb Sale registered a total of 54,868 head offered across 184 lots – accounting for 51% of the weekly offering.
Price trends for the week continued to trend lower as the volatility of pricing weighed heavily on buyer sentiment.
Post-sale negotiations in the 48 hours following auction continued to facilitate a considerable lift in clearance rates across both sheep and lamb categories.
This is only the third time in AuctionsPlus history that commercial cattle listings have exceeded 20,000 head for three consecutive weeks.
Listings were led by Southwest Victoria this week, with the region offering 33,584 head.
Clearance rates are expected to rise with post-sale negotiations over the next 48 hours.
