Media identity Alan Jones has sold his beloved property Elizabeth Farm and Charlieville at Fitzroy Falls in the Southern Highlands.
The veteran broadcaster has owned the property for almost 20 years. He bought the property in 2003 for $2.6 million. He’s since extensively transformed the estate, which he named after his late father.
The architecturally designed 10 bedroom, eight bathroom homestead offers open plan living with high quality finishes. The residence incorporates two homes under one expansive roofline, delivering generous indoor and outdoor living areas in an idyllic country setting. There’s 25 rooms in total. The homestead is surrounded by immaculate gardens with a tennis court and pavilion.
Elizabeth Farm also includes extensive equine facilities including a 2016 built stable complex with 6 boxes, wash bay, tack/feeding room, kitchenette and laundry facilities. There are 12 horse yards with post and rail fencing along with a floodlit dressage arena, plus pasture for grazing sheep and cattle.
The property was originally listed for $17.5million but sources suggest it sold closer to $15 million. It’s understood Mr Jones is expected to maintain his Circular Quay apartment in “The Toaster” that he bought in 2017.
