From the Northern Territory to the NSW South Coast, the new owners of Aysgarth Farm couldn’t pass up the opportunity to move home.
Located between Gerringong and Gerroa, the 22.19 coastal hectares includes plenty of fenced pastures, two dams and both town and rain water.
“It’s literally just 500 metres from the front gate to the sea”, agent Neil Campbell from Ray White Gerringong said.
“We had a huge amount of interest in the property and it was sold just after auction to the highest bidder.”
The six bedroom house on the property also has views from the rear deck of the escarpment and surrounding rural properties.
Despite plenty of interest from Sydney buyers looking to move south it was a couple who grew up in the area who secured the deal.
“In the end it was a local couple who grew up in the Illawarra Shoalhaven area who wanted to move back here from the Northern Territory,” Mr Campbell said.
It wasn’t his only sale of the weekend with “Koora” a 47 acre property in the Jamberoo Valley, selling for over $4 million.
The old dairy has been converted to an office or could be utilised as separate accommodation, complimenting the 5 bedroom home.
“It’s a stunning piece of land,” Mr Campbell said.
“It attracted a Sydney buyer looking for a lifestyle change, given the property is only 90 minutes from Sydney.”
