Lillie Holcombe talks of her young family and their charming homewares store Harry and Kit, located in a ‘tin shed’ in Queensland’s Goondiwindi.
We found a charming tin shed on Bowen Lane in Goondiwindi and it’s been the perfect space to give these pieces a ‘home’ and has also meant our community has access to some amazing items!
I’m passionate about working with other small businesses and promoting the bush where we can, so opening the store has been a dream come true. We have a range of Australian labels in store and stock local brands like Inglewood’s Macintrye Brook Olive Grove’s olive oil and Goondiwindi’s own Jersey Candles and Stitch and Hyde leather goods.
There’s no denying it’s been a tough year for many but we’re so grateful to our local community for their support and the larger community who support the ‘Buy From the Bush’ movement and who have shopped online with us.
Goondiwindi is the perfect mix of relaxed country town and evolving region, so it’s an exciting time to be part of this community and we can’t wait to welcome more people to our store in the coming month for their Christmas shopping!
