Perfectly located between Orange and Bathurst, ‘Glendowner’ sold this morning, less than a year after it last changed hands for $22.5 million.
William Street in Bathurst was a hive of activity this morning as the local Ray White office filled with plenty of people interested in ‘Glendowner’. Situated in Vittoria on the Mitchell Highway, 30 kms from Orange, 25 kms from Bathurst, 15 kms from Millthorpe and 3 hours from Sydney. The spectacular 3444 acre property had been owned by local graziers Graeme and Rhonda Gordon for 70 years before being bought by Regis Resources Ltd earlier this year.

The publicly listed company would not disclose what it sold for at auction today but selling agent Stewart Murphy from Ray White Emms Mooney said it was above expectations.
“It exceeded the reserve by a long way,” he said. “We were a little nervous heading into today because of the current market and rising interest rates but it was a well marketed campaign.”
Around 70 people attended the auction. There were five registered and active bidders with the sale going to a local central tablelands business.
‘Glendowner’ also features a stunning 460sqm four bedroom homestead set in beautiful established gardens and a renovated three bedroom cottage that’s currently used as an Airbnb. It’s currently running a self-replacing Merino sheep flock and Angus cattle herd. Mr Murphy said ‘Glendowner’ presented a rare opportunity to own a well-managed large scale grazing property in the heart of the NSW central tablelands.
“With continued growth in this region, the agricultural opportunities are endless with a property of this size and location,” he said.
