Land in the Riverina continues to go from strength to strength with this latest offering ‘Dropshot’ selling above expectations.
The 1691 acres of open, undulating country rising to grazing hills went under the hammer in November.
Selling agent Sally Douglas from Nutrien Harcourts Wagga Wagga said there was a lot of interest in the property.
“We did 15 inspections and had 5 registered bidders on the day,” she said.
Ms Douglas said the property was sold to a farming family expanding their operations in the area.
“They aren’t local, but they do have country in Victoria and New South Wales. It sold for $6.1 million dollars and the vendors were very pleased with the sale."
She said the property's proximity to Wagga Wagga was a selling point.
“It’s within 30 kilometres of Wagga Wagga, which is a major regional centre.”
The property is currently running 100 cows and 2000 ewes. It has double creek frontage, 17 dams & 2 bores.
The ‘Dropshot’ homestead was built in 2008 and is positioned to enjoy light open plan living with views from most rooms. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a mudroom and a large laundry. The open plan kitchen, dining and living space has a gas and electric cooking and a mobile kitchen bench.
