The rural property market is so strong in the New England region that properties are being sold before they go to market.
At just over 800 hectares, ‘Dungarvon’ lies just 20 minutes drive from the regional centre of Inverell in northern New South Wales.
Selling agent Carl Hurford from Nurien Harcourts Inverell said ‘Dungarvon’ was another example.
“This was a great sale for the Inverell district,” he said. “Yet another property that didn’t make it to market.”
The property has 30 paddocks including 700 acres of cultivation. One of the features of the farm is a beautiful, near new, three year old four-bedroom, two- bathroom home with stunning views and an inground saltwater swimming pool. A second four bedroom residence on the property is currently leased for $320 a week.
Mr Hurford said the new owners are from interstate.
“Again we see an interstate buyer move into the area further underscoring the demand for quality and well located country,” he said.
In 2017 the grazing property was sold for just $3.1 million. Since then many improvements have been made including the house.
There’s cattle yards, machinery sheds, eight dams including one that’s suitable for irrigation.
