Avocado farm in Kaloorup, Western Australia, sells for $3.45 million.
Nestled between two major West Australian vineyards in the heart of Margaret River, this avocado farm just sold for almost three and a half million dollars.
The well established avocado farm was sold as a two lot sale.
Selling agent Mark Murray from Stocker Preston, Margaret River said it was sold to wheatbelt farmers who are looking at diversifying their operations.
“There was a lot of interest in this property, particularly as it had a large water license for sale with it,” he said.
“There’s probably only half a dozen avocado farms in the region, so it was a unique opportunity for someone.”
The property features trees from 24 years old down to two and a half years old. It also has around 750 newly planted citrus trees.
Mr Murray said the property also features an historic railway shed from the Busselton.
“It was relocated to the property in the 1960s and renovated.”
Mr Murray said he was very happy with the sale.
“It was one of my higher value sales so it was a good one for me personally.”
