The stunning 1013ha Wykeham farm, at Dunkeld has sold after four decades.
The property is set amongst the Southern Grampians, which provide a picturesque backdrop, overlooking Mt Abrupt and Mt Sturgeon with extensive frontage to the Wannon River.
It was no surprise to the selling agents, Ken McDonald and Matt Poustie from HF Richardson Property, that the productive and serene rural setting drew a lot of interest.
“It was of little doubt that this property was going to draw strong interest,” Mr Poustie said. “Buyers from throughout Australia made strong enquiry on this property with the majority of the highest interest coming from across Victoria and Southern NSW, with prospective buyers looking to diversify their portfolio as acreage prices reached all-time-highs in many parts of NSW’s prime cropping and grazing country”.
The premier livestock farm was offered as a whole or in three separate lots but Mr Poustie said it was ”sold as a whole”.
The agents declined to comment on the final price, however data sources indicate that a price above $22 million was achieved.
