Situated 110km North of Nyngan and 146km North West of Warren, the 33,500 acre ‘Womboin Station’ has been sold.
After more than four decades, the grazing property ‘Womboin Station’ in Western New South Wales has changed hands. Selling agent Trevor Wilson from Nutrien Harcourts, NSW said it was sold on a walk in walk out basis.
“The interest level was good and a testament to the future of the sheep industry. It was purchased by landholders who have country in the district.”
Unfortunately the property’s five bedroom homestead was destroyed by fire during the marketing period. Despite the loss the property still has a four bedroom overseer's residence, two single cottages. It boasts 10 electric stand shearing shed with steel sheep yards, well maintained shearers quarters and 3 sets of paddock sheep yards plus much more.
“The property certainly was a well improved property and presented very well,” Mr Wilson said.
The working improvements have been well maintained. There’s also been extensive water infrastructure developed with a network of dams, tanks and troughs, three bores and frontage to the Marra Creek.
“Womboin is a property with scale and a productive track record,” Mr Wilson added.
While the vendors did not want the price disclosed, a data website had it selling in excess of $10 million.
